Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned database professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing and supporting relational database solutions in a Microsoft SQL Server environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong proficiency in SQL, T-SQL and SQL Server Management Studio, as well as experience with database design, normalization and optimization techniques.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will also be expected to maintain documentation for technical processes, procedures and training materials for applications, databases and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and support relational database solutions in a Microsoft SQL Server environment.
  • Develop, test and modify various SQL queries, Stored Procedures and Views to enhance performance.
  • Promote and recommend best practices to improve automation frameworks and processes, including maintenance issues, operation requirements, disaster recovery and security.
  • Maintain documentation for technical processes, procedures and training materials for applications, databases and systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in SQL Server database development and administration.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, T-SQL and SQL Server Management Studio.
  • Experience with database design, normalization and optimization techniques.
  • Knowledge of performance tuning strategies and tools.
  • Understanding of database security best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud-based database solutions (Azure SQL Database, AWS RDS).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell).
  • Certification in Microsoft SQL Server.
