Job Title: IPv6 Planning & Design Professional

We seek an experienced IPv6 planning and design professional to join our team.

As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing IPv6 network deployment plans that align with our organizational goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing IPv6 addressing schemes, subnetting, and hierarchical IP plans to support current and future network growth.
  • Planning and designing IPv6 routing architectures using protocols such as OSPFv3, BGP for IPv6, and EIGRP for IPv6.
  • Creating detailed network design documentation and deployment guides for IPv6.
  • Assessing existing IPv4 infrastructure readiness for IPv6 migration and recommending transition strategies (dual-stack, tunneling, translation).
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including network operations, security, and application teams for IPv6 deployment.
  • Leading IPv6 pilot deployments and overseeing full-scale rollouts across LAN, WAN, data center, and cloud networks.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting IPv6 deployment issues and providing solutions to optimize performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

We are seeking individuals with the following skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.

• Proven hands-on experience in IPv6 network design, planning, and deployment.

• Deep understanding of IPv6 protocols and features (addressing, DHCPv6, Neighbor Discovery, ICMPv6).

• Expertise in IPv6 routing protocols: OSPFv3, BGP, and EIGRP for IPv6.

• Familiarity with IPv6 transition mechanisms: dual-stack, 6rd, ISATAP, NAT64, and tunneling methods.

• Experience with network infrastructure hardware (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Huawei).

• Knowledge of network security considerations in IPv6 environments.

• Strong documentation and project management skills.

• Industry certifications such as Cisco CCNP/CCIE/JNCIS/JNCIE with IPv6 focus preferred.

• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
