About the Role

We're seeking a Global Accounting Director to join our finance team at Palo Alto Networks. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for leading financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, and compliance initiatives globally.

**Key Responsibilities:**
* Develop and implement financial plans and budgets for international entities, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
* Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP and local regulations.
* Lead the review and analysis of financial data, identifying trends and areas for improvement, and providing insights to inform business decisions.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial planning and analysis initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategy.
* Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, ensuring smooth audit processes and compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards, laws, and regulations, ensuring compliance and adapting financial processes accordingly.
* Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, promoting their growth and development.
* Execute assigned team goals and objectives, ensuring delivery against targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).

About You

We're looking for a highly experienced finance professional with a proven track record of leading global accounting teams and driving financial results. Key qualifications include:
* CA or CPA certification with a bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent military experience.
* At least 10 years of experience in GL/RTR, with a minimum of 7 years in a large US MNC.
* Sound knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting, with experience in preparing financial statements and reports.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify areas for improvement.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience in mentoring and developing junior team members.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality of output.
