Responsibilities:

  • Design and Execute Synthesis Routes: Develop and execute efficient synthesis routes to target organic compounds.
  • Purify and Characterize Molecules: Use analytical techniques such as NMR, HPLC, GC-MS, and IR spectroscopy to purify and characterize organic molecules.
  • Analyze Experimental Data: Analyze and interpret experimental data to troubleshoot reactions and optimize synthetic routes.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and address project challenges.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate records of experimental procedures, results, and observations.
  • Stay Current with Literature: Stay current with literature and technological advancements in organic chemistry to contribute to the development of novel methodologies and technologies.
  • Foster a Safe Laboratory Environment: Foster a safe laboratory environment by adhering to protocols and best practices.

Requirements:

">
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, biotechnology, organic chemistry, or related field(s), or evidence of exceptional ability.
  • Experience: 1-2+ years of industrial experience preferred.
  • Nice to Have: Master's degree in chemical engineering, biotechnology, organic chemistry, or related field(s).
  • Skills: Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of organic chemistry principles and techniques, hands-on experience with organic synthesis, purification, and characterization methods, proficiency in using laboratory equipment and analytical instruments.
  • Soft Skills: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced research environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, strong communication and interpersonal skills, commitment to safety, compliance, and ethical conduct in scientific research.
