Job Description

We are seeking a talented Sr Java Programmer to join our innovative team in Bengaluru, India. This role involves managing the system development life cycle for the Illumina Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Our ideal candidate will have experience with software programming languages, preferably Java, and hands-on experience with 3rd Party interfaces commonly interfaced with LIMS applications.

As a Sr Java Programmer, you will work on challenging projects that use cutting-edge technology to improve millions of lives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the system development life cycle for LIMS
  • Compiling relevant information related to product and process definition, analyzing business and compliance requirements, assessing risks, and procuring accurate information for use in global systems
  • Supporting and iterating system development life cycle for LIMS, developing and optimizing manufacturing process flows
  • Driving improved utilization of LabVantage for laboratory areas with respect to both configuration and core functionality
  • Acting as voice of the customer for manufacturing
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience with software programming languages, Java preferred
  • Hands-on experience with 3rd Party interfaces commonly interfaced with LIMS applications like ERP, PLM, MES, SDMS, Instruments, etc.
  • Technical background in manufacturing, preferably in a life sciences, diagnostic, and or medical device environment
  • Direct hands-on experience managing configuration change management in LIMS, LabVantage LIMS preferred
Preferred Skills
  • Proven ability to convert process flows into automated workflow models
  • Experience in configuration management, operations, and or quality within a regulated industry
  • Solid understanding of computer system and system validations
  • Experience with Software Development Life Cycle of quality systems
  • Working knowledge of ISO 13485 and cGMP requirements desired
