Program Manager Job Overview

Our organization is seeking a skilled Program Manager to lead our field operations, oversee team members, and maintain strong relationships with farmers.

The Program Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our farm program to achieve its intended outcomes. The key responsibilities include:

  • People Management: Supervise and manage a team of 3+ associates.\
  • Project Management: Oversee the implementation of protocols and experiments.\
  • Data Review: Ensure timely and accurate data entry by team members.\
  • Audits: Conduct audits and quality control to ensure adherence to protocols.\
  • Farm Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with farmers.\
  • Scaling and Strategic Assistance: Provide input during strategic meetings and lead the process of enrolling new farms in our program.\
  • Field Presence: Spend 50%+ of time in the field engaging with staff, farmers, and other stakeholders.\
  • Ground-Truthing: Provide field input during strategic meetings.\
  • Expansion: Lead the process of enrolling new farms in our program.\
  • Transportation: Ability to drive a motorbike or scooter on rural roads.\
  • Language: Fluent in oral and written Telugu and English.\
  • Location: Full-time presence in Eluru, Andhra Pradesh required.\
  • Experience: 1 year of experience managing field programs in the development, environmental protection, or animal advocacy sectors.\
  • Culture Fit: Team player with excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.\
  • Preferred Skills: Bachelor's degree in Fisheries, Aquaculture, Social Sciences, or other sciences; previous experience with water quality analysis and management in aquaculture.\
