Marketplace Business Manager

The role of the Mandi Lead - Marketplace Business Manager involves developing and implementing strategies to drive supply and demand within a particular mandi, with the ultimate goal of increasing market share.

This position requires a unique blend of skills, including strategic planning, supply management, demand generation, and a deep understanding of market and customer preferences.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing strategies to drive supply and demand within a particular mandi, resulting in increased market share
  • Understanding local Supply and Demand trends and competitor activities, using insights to form appropriate plans to leverage inputs for growth opportunities
  • Identifying revenue & cost-saving opportunities to maximise profits
  • Working with cross-functional teams like Supply Chain, Finance, Credit teams to optimise costs and enhance revenue
  • Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality of produce and experience to customers
  • Implementing and monitoring KPIs to measure operational performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Leveraging technology and innovation to streamline operations and improve service delivery
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability

Requirements for this role include:

  • Engg/MBA professionals with 2-5 yrs of experience into pure play Key Account management roles with end-to-end responsibility and in a fast-paced setup
  • Rural Areas Sales Exposure is preferred
  • B2B Sales exposure in FMCG/FMCG/Ecommerce industries with hands-on understanding of Credit Facilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong first principle thinking, ability to identify & solve problem statements end to end
  • Should have managed operations, with a track record of bringing processes efficiency
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and profitability
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Strong Desire to travel across rural areas in the assigned geography
