Job Title: Mobile and Electrical Lifting Equipment Maintenance Technician

This is a critical role that requires an experienced professional to oversee the maintenance of mobile and electrical lifting equipment. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in conducting repairs, diagnosing problems, and taking corrective action to resolve issues.


The primary purpose of this service is to provide dedicated technicians who can perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on heavy equipment. This includes visual inspections, load testing, and color coding of rigging equipment. The successful candidate must be able to maintain accurate records of repairs, consumables, and warranty reports.


The major duties and responsibilities of this role include maintaining all types of lifting equipment, performing service and repair tasks on various heavy equipment, including forklifts, cranes, winches, hydraulic equipment, generators, welding machines, and air compressors. The candidate must be able to determine the condition of heavy equipment through visual inspections and diagnostic tests.


The ideal candidate will possess good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear direction to support staff and field personnel. They must also be able to prepare and execute job hazard analysis (JHA) reports related to lifting and rigging equipment safety assessments.


Additional responsibilities include ensuring site area housekeeping after each job completion, providing regular updates to Heavy Equipment supervisors regarding schedules and replacement needs, and maintaining accurate records of preventative and corrective maintenance repairs.


In terms of qualifications, the ideal candidate should have a minimum 08-15 years of experience in Oil and gas Industry, a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, and relevant certifications. It is essential to note that the selected individual must not be over the age of Fifty-Three (53) years old.


A valid driving license, preferably from Qatar, is required, as well as knowledge of Arabic language (read and speak) to convey requirements in government offices. Preferably, PTW Certification and H2S certificates from the safety team are required. Additionally, computer literacy and familiarity with MS Office and SAP systems are necessary.


The working environment will involve frequent exposure to construction sites, workshops, and outdoor areas, which may pose health risks if proper precautions are not taken. Therefore, it is crucial that the selected candidate understands the importance of adhering to strict safety protocols at all times.
