Job Overview

As a Quality Control Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all project execution activities meet approved quality standards. This involves developing and implementing quality processes, conducting inspections, preparing QA/QC documentation, and coordinating with project teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain the Project Quality Assurance Plan in line with company QMS and client requirements.
  • Review and approve Method Statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and quality procedures submitted by contractors/subcontractors.
  • Ensure materials, equipment, and systems conform to project specifications, drawings, and international standards.
  • Conduct internal quality audits and ensure timely closure of NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports).
  • Provide training and awareness on QA procedures to site engineers and subcontractors.

Key Tasks:

  • Perform inspections for Electrical & MEP installations including MV/LV systems, Generators, Transformers, HT/LT Panels, UPS, Busducts, HVAC, Fire Fighting, and related works.
  • Witness and verify testing & commissioning activities (FAT, SAT, Pre-Commissioning & Commissioning tests).
  • Monitor work progress and ensure compliance with approved shop drawings and ITP checklists.
  • Validate calibration of instruments and ensure traceability of measurement tools.
  • Document inspection findings, prepare quality reports, and maintain proper records for audits & client handover.

Project Coordination:

  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and Consultants to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Support final project handover ensuring all QA/QC documents are complete.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's/Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience: 4–12 years of QA/QC experience in Project Execution.
  • Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, NFPA, IS standards, and ISO 9001 QMS implementation.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • QA/QC procedures, ITPs, NCR management, material submittal approvals.
    • Inspection and testing of MV/LV panels, Generators, Transformers, UPS, Busducts, HVAC, Fire Fighting systems.
  • Software & Tools: MS Office, QA/QC documentation tools, and exposure to ERP/Project Management tools.
  • Core Skills: Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, report preparation, stakeholder coordination.
  • Certifications (Preferred): ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, CQE (Certified Quality Engineer), Six Sigma, or equivalent QA certifications
