Procurement Specialist Role

This is a senior-level procurement role focused on managing clinical development and outsourcing within the pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, excellent influencing and negotiating skills, and a detailed understanding of the clinical development process.


  • Prepare and release RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs to negotiate with suppliers and support business needs.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for vendors, negotiating scope of work, pricing, and payment schedules.
  • Negotiate and execute contract frameworks, including MSAs and SLAs, to ensure commercial advantage and minimize risk.
  • Ensure agreements are compliant with company procedures and minimize maverick spend.
  • Drive annual productivity improvements in applicable spend categories.
  • Contribute to vendor audit requests and facilitate corrective action plans.

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Clinical Development/Pharma R&D/Procurement.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Outsourcing within the Pharma or CRO industry.
  • Detailed understanding of the clinical development process and management of clinical trials.
  • Excellent influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Solid understanding of contractual legal terms and conditions.
  • Excellent understanding of the Clinical CRO marketplace.
  • Solid financial understanding related to clinical trial contracts and cost elements.

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences/Chemistry/Biochemistry or Pharmaceutical sciences.
