As a skilled Application Support Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality custom web applications on Microsoft technologies are maintained.

Purpose of the Job

This professional will join our Digital Support DevOps team to ensure seamless application experiences for customers.

The team will work in a collaborative DevOps methodology, prioritizing and coordinating efforts through agile planning activities, backlog prioritization, and management.

  • Provide excellent customer support, resolving issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Analyze complex technical problems and make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Contribute to agile planning activities, backlog prioritization, and management.
  • Identify and escalate application issues or risks, offering suggestions for resolution.
  • Continuously improve development processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand emerging demands, develop strategies, and frameworks.
  • Drive innovation and adoption of industry practices through investigation and institutionalization of new tools, methods, and standards.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with stakeholders and documenting support processes and solutions.
  • Adaptability to new technologies and evolving applications and systems.
  • Create documents, ensuring review and approval by relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in estimating user stories in story points and committing effort required.
  • Develop to cover user stories acceptance criteria and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Understanding of content management systems (CMS) like EPiServer/Optimizely.
  • Resolve production incidents or defects as needed, proactively identifying potential issues.
  • Drive high performance and accountability for own deliverables.
  • Actively participate in sprint activities and ceremonies.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve sprint objectives.
  • Drive continual service improvements.
  • Drive knowledge sharing efforts in the organization.
  • Be available for emergencies.
About the Role

We seek an experienced professional with a bachelor's/master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

A minimum of 5 years of experience is required.

Proficiency in monitoring and diagnosing application issues using tools like New Relic, AppDynamics, or similar APM solutions.

Experience in identifying performance bottlenecks and providing recommendations for improvement.

Knowledge of some of the following tools/platforms: ASP.NET, C#, SQL, EPiServer CMS, EPiServer Commerce, EPiServer Find, EPiServer Forms, Episerver Content Delivery API, EPiServer Deployment API, EPiServer DXP, REST API, Azure-OAuth, Azure Storage, Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines.

Experience in GIT.

Knowledge of scripting languages like Bash, Python, or PowerShell for automating support tasks and workflows.

Expertise in analyzing application logs to identify errors, exceptions, and performance indicators.

Knowledge of Cloud Technologies, Solutions Development, Digital Experience.

Experience working in Agile or DevOps teams.

Ability to effectively manage and resolve application-related incidents, including performing root cause analysis.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
