Job Role

This is a full-time on-site role for an Interior Designer located in an urban setting. The Interior Designer will be responsible for assisting in:

  • Space Planning: Ensuring efficient use of space and creating effective layouts.
  • Design Concept Development: Collaborating with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and developing design concepts that meet their expectations.
  • Construction Drawings: Creating detailed drawings and specifications for construction projects.
  • Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) Selection: Selecting and specifying FF&E for projects, ensuring that it meets clients' requirements and budgets.
  • Vendor and Contractor Collaboration: Working with vendors and contractors to source materials and services, and ensuring timely project delivery.
  • Client Interactions: Communicating effectively with clients to understand their needs, address concerns, and ensure successful project execution.
  • Site Visits and Project Coordination: Conducting site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and coordinating with project teams to ensure successful project completion.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Space Planning and Interior Design: Strong understanding of space planning principles and interior design best practices.
  • Experience with Interior and Construction Drawings: Proficiency in creating detailed drawings and specifications for construction projects.
  • Knowledge of FF&E: Familiarity with furniture, fixtures, and equipment, including selection and specification.
  • Strong Communication and Project Management Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to Work Collaboratively: Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including designers, architects, engineers, and contractors.
  • Familiarity with Design Software and Tools: Proficiency in using design software and tools, such as Autodesk, SketchUp, or Revit.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a Related Field: A degree in interior design, architecture, or a related field is required.
  • Experience in Residential and Commercial Design Projects: Experience in residential and commercial design projects is highly desirable.
