Job Overview:

We're seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Underwriting Enablement Specialist. This role will involve leveraging extensive knowledge of underwriting principles to develop training programs, quality standards, and playbooks that enable community reviewers to effectively curate and correct AI model responses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement training modules for non-specialists on underwriting basics, including FOIR/DTI, LTV, income stability, bureau interpretation, documentation hygiene, fraud red flags, and policy exceptions.
  • Train anchors to review and correct AI outputs, applying rules, adding reason codes, and documenting edge cases.
  • Create quality rubrics, acceptance criteria, pass/fail checklists, quick-fix macros, escalation rules, and calibration guidelines to ensure high-quality decision rationales.
  • Define data needs from cases and draft specifications for synthetic data generation.
  • Champion ethics and privacy by ensuring PII handling, fairness, and compliant decision rationales in training and review workflows.
Requirements:
  • 4-8 years of experience in retail/home-loan underwriting with hands-on decisioning and policy interpretation.
  • Proven training or mentorship experience, comfortable teaching beginners and non-technical learners.
  • Strong grasp of calculations and documents, including FOIR/DTI/LTV/EMI, income proofs, bank statements, and credit bureau reports.
  • Fluent in English and Telugu.
