Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer

This role is responsible for reviewing software requirements, identifying test scenarios, designing and executing test cases, creating automated test scripts, managing defects, and ensuring high-quality test deliverables are delivered to customers as per project timelines. The incumbent will also assist test engineers and trainees on test scenario development, test design, and provide inputs to test leads on test estimations, strategy, and planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project test requirements, document test scenarios, raise clarifications, and obtain clarification from BAs/Customer
  • Derive test scenarios, develop test cases, execute test cases, review test cases prepared by junior peers, report testing status, and create/executing automated scripts
  • Assist test leads in test estimates, strategy, and planning; monitor progress, ensure timely delivery, and participate in DRB meetings, team meetings, and customer calls to provide clarification or issue resolutions
  • Develop ideas for automation, process improvement (project/unit/org), productivity improvement, or accelerator/tools/macros
  • Adhere to SLK and project-related processes, security guidelines, process-related activities, etc
  • Participate in L&D mandatory initiatives of 6 days training minimum per year
  • Mentor/coach test engineers and juniors in the team
  • Ensure cost savings for the firm by ensuring high utilization of one's own time and implementation of newer ideas
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech/MCA/MSc degree
  2. Certification in ISTQB
