Job Title: Atlassian Administrator

Are you a highly skilled professional looking for a challenging role that leverages your expertise in project management and technical support? We are seeking an experienced Atlassian Administrator to join our team. As an Atlassian Administrator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality service improvements without unnecessary investment in new products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior technical management, product owners, and project managers to develop, design, and implement requirements.
  • Deliver service improvements without unnecessary investment in new products by working smarter, providing better tools, and utilizing existing product sets more efficiently.
  • Improve alignment of technology solutions with operational areas to focus on practical delivery of solutions architecture to the organization using experience from across the Atlassian product set.
  • Act as subject matter expert ('SME') for Atlassian Jira and Confluence and related add-ons.
  • Provide ownership and regular updates of issues, including supporting users with best practice advice until the request has been resolved.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, research, analyze, and provide solutions to simple and medium-complexity problems encountered.
  • Proactively plan to assess new upcoming features on cloud and communicate to users wherever applicable.
  • Adhere to security policy surrounding platform standards and provide engineering solutions to that policy as directed by the security product roadmap.
  • Ensure operational requirements are matched in the delivery of services around standards and engineering, identifying when support arrangements may need to change to efficiently and effectively onboard new technology.
  • Own and manage user access permissions per security guidelines.
  • Ensure effective communication across the department and across geographically dispersed teams, including identifying new skills, skills gaps, and working to improve overall team knowledge.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate extensive expertise in analyzing, troubleshooting, implementing, and supporting Jira and Confluence Cloud, alongside experience in Atlassian administration and troubleshooting.
  • Show a demonstrated ability in managing Jira Cloud and Confluence Cloud within a professional environment.
  • Display acquaintance with Agile methodologies and cloud-based project management tools.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of security policies, user management, best practices, design, usage, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Exhibit exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills in a cloud-based setting.
  • Display proficiency in Shell, Python, and Groovy scripting for automating tasks to minimize manual workload.
  • Show strong knowledge in creating reports on Jira Dashboards and EazyBI.
  • Demonstrate outstanding implementation skills in managing Jira custom fields, workflow management, and developing common templates.
  • Highlight considerable experience in integrating Jira and Confluence with third-party tools.
  • Show proficient cost optimization by identifying and substituting unnecessary plugins with cloud-native features.
