About Us:

We are an investment firm focused on the Indian equity market. Founded in 2012, we operate on the traditional US hedge fund model.

Prior to founding our company, the Managing Partner worked at two renowned, multi-billion-dollar hedge funds in New York as an Investment Analyst from 2005 until 2012.

We endeavour to apply the principles of stock selection practiced at top global hedge funds to the Indian equity market. Our strategy is rooted in fundamental research and investment decisions are based on a medium to long term outlook on the stock and the sector that it operates in.

Our team lies in seeking mis-understood situations and abnormal stock movements, then conducting in-depth valuation on what is priced in and how that is likely to change.

Job Description

Designation: Junior Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• The candidate will be responsible for financial modelling, financial analysis, and forming an investment thesis on the sector the analyst is expected to work on

• The candidate will track down and analyse every industry/company data point available in the public domain

• The candidate will make presentations and present convincing ideas to the whole team

• The candidate will also handle administrative responsibilities shared by all members of the team

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Keen interest in capital markets

• Candidate must fully understand businesses and sectors they operate in

• Strong skills in financial modelling, analysing income statements-balance sheet-cash flows and valuing companies

• Prior experience of building operating and financial models of companies and industries

• Excellent knowledge of basic equity valuation principles

• Exceptional skills in advanced Excel and PowerPoint

• Attention to detail is essential

• Candidate must have 1-2 years of relevant work experience (sell-side or buy-side experience preferred)
