Internal Control Specialist

Job Description:

  • Conduct thorough on-site internal control reviews and implement timely corrective actions.
  • Identify opportunities for process simplification, standardization, and automation to strengthen internal controls.
  • Assess risks across all functional areas and develop effective risk management strategies.
  • Facilitate quarterly attestation and semi-annual balance sheet reviews.
  • Share best practices within the organization.
  • Support operational and financial audits by assisting with preparation, liaising with auditors, and responding to deficiencies.
  • Verify compliance with US GAAP, Indian Accounting Standards, and company policies through accounting document analysis.
  • Review customer and supplier reserves, accruals, tooling, and EDI templates, as well as receivables, AR reserve, unbilled AR, and white papers for policy deviations.

Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant with over 8 years of experience in internal audit, accounting audit, or internal control roles, including at least 4 years in a Big 4 environment.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with cross-functional departments.
  • Ability to perform process audits and month-end close reviews independently.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and Indian Accounting Standards.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and executive stakeholders.
  • High adaptability and ability to work well under ambiguity.
  • Great attitude in high-pressure situations with negotiation and influence skills to drive results.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented with excellent time management skills and a focus on achieving results.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project).
  • Experience in QAD and Hyperion is highly preferred.
