High Voltage Inverter Design Engineer Role
A high voltage inverter design engineer is accountable for designing and developing the mechanical aspects of high voltage inverters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive designs for mechanical packaging, structures, and thermal management systems for high voltage power inverters.
- Demonstrate expertise in high voltage inverter mechanical design and development.
- Understand the fundamental components of high voltage inverters, including power modules, DC link capacitors, EMC filters, and shielding.
- Familiarity with clearance and creepage requirements.
- Proficiency in simulations related to structural, thermal, and other aspects.
- Advanced skills in Unigraphics NX (modelling, drafting, plastic and casting design, generative sheet metal, generative shape design, DMU).
- Excellent drafting knowledge and adherence to international standards.
- Knowledge of geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Experience with design for manufacturing and assembly (DFM/DFA).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Requirements and Expectations:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in high voltage inverter mechanical design.
- Proficiency in Unigraphics NX.
Deliverables and Outcomes:
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality mechanical designs that meet or exceed customer expectations. Regular updates on project progress and timely delivery of designs are expected.
