We are seeking a visionary Lead Big Data Engineer to spearhead the delivery of key roadmap features for our Enterprise TruRisk Platform.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for prototyping, designing, developing, and supporting a highly scalable, distributed SaaS-based Security Risk Prioritization product.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of cutting-edge data platforms and pipelines, leveraging expertise in risk evaluation.
  • Provide technical leadership to engineering teams on data platform design, implementation, and evolution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, services, and sales engineers, to drive solution reviews and technical discussions.
  • Drive technology exploration and roadmapping efforts to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Serve as a technical lead on complex, cross-functional projects, ensuring high-quality architecture and design.
  • Decompose complex problems into simple, actionable solutions, demonstrating expert knowledge of system interdependencies and limitations.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in performance, scalability, enterprise system architecture, and engineering best practices.
  • Effectively research and benchmark cloud technologies against industry standards.
  • Document requirements and provide clear direction to developers, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Mentor and develop others, providing guidance on advanced technical issues and career growth opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of total experience.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in design and architecture of Big Data solutions using Spark.
  • 3+ years of experience working with engineering resources for innovation.
  • 4+ years of experience understanding Big Data events flow pipeline.
  • 3+ years of experience in performance testing large infrastructure.
  • Deep understanding of various search solutions, including Solr/Elastic.
  • 3+ years of experience with Kafka.
  • Deep expertise in Data lakes and related ecosystems.
  • Deep understanding of message queues.
  • Expertise in giving requirements for scalable architecture in Big Data and Micro-services environments.
  • Deep knowledge of caching components or services.
  • Knowledge of Presto technology.
  • Knowledge of Airflow.
  • Hands-on experience in scripting and automation.
  • Deep understanding of RDBMS/NoSQL, Oracle, Cassandra, Kafka, Redis, Hadoop, Lambda architecture, Kappa, Kappa++ architectures with Flink data streaming and rule engines.
  • Experience in working with ML models engineering and deployment.
  • Ability to design and implement secure Big Data clusters meeting compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience leading delivery of large-scale systems focused on managing infrastructure layer of technology stack.
  • Strong experience in performance benchmarking testing Big Data technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in leading development life cycle process and best practices.
  • Experience in Big Data services administration added value.
  • Experience in Agile Management (SCRUM, RUP, XP), OO Modeling, working on internet, UNIX, Middleware, and database-related projects.
  • Experience mentoring/training engineering community on complex technical issues.
  • Project management experience.
