Procurement Specialist

Oversee the acquisition and management of goods and services for Health Supplements, Cosmetics, Food & Nutraceuticals.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Vendor Sourcing and Development: Identify, research and onboard reliable vendors across categories such as cosmetics, personal care, nutraceuticals and FMCG. Develop strategic partnerships to ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Contract Manufacturing and Private Label Management: Collaborate with third-party manufacturers and private label partners to develop new products. Ensure compliance with formulations, packaging and quality standards.
  • Procurement and Negotiation: Lead end-to-end procurement processes including RFPs, RFQs and tenders. Negotiate pricing, credit terms, lead times and minimum order quantities (MOQs) to drive cost optimization.
  • Regulatory and Quality Compliance: Ensure all vendors meet regulatory certifications and quality standards. Liaise with internal QA/RA teams to manage documentation, product testing and statutory compliance.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with New Product Development (NPD), R&D, Quality, Operations and Marketing teams to bring new SKUs from concept to commercialization.
  • Supply Chain and Inventory Alignment: Work with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely inbound delivery, warehousing and outbound movement of raw materials, packaging and finished goods.
  • Vendor Relationship and Performance Management: Maintain strong relationships with strategic vendors. Monitor vendor performance using KPIs (on-time delivery, cost competitiveness, quality and compliance).
  • Cost Optimization and Benchmarking: Continuously benchmark raw material and packaging costs across vendors. Identify alternate suppliers and innovative sourcing channels.
  • Risk Management and Contingency Planning: Develop backup vendor options and alternate sourcing strategies to mitigate risks of supply disruptions and price fluctuations.
  • Market Intelligence and Innovation: Stay updated with market trends, raw material innovations and supplier ecosystems. Share insights with NPD/Marketing to develop differentiated products.
