Senior Unix Engineer Job Overview

Main Responsibilities
  • We seek an experienced individual to develop and improve application infrastructure.
  • This role requires close collaboration with developers and production support teams.
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in configuring and improving existing infrastructure.
  • Simplifying release processes is also a key aspect of this position.
  • Ongoing investigations and research are essential to stay up-to-date with industry trends.
  • This role involves participating in planning and risk assessment activities.
  • Distributed agile process participation is also required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Mandatory:
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field.
    • Strong understanding of Unix/Linux systems.
    • Proficiency in SQL.
    • Extensive experience in production support and maintenance.
    • Advanced scripting skills (Perl, PowerShell, Shell).
    • Effective communication, coordination, and troubleshooting abilities.
    • An attitude to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Nice to have:
    • Basic knowledge of Mainframe systems.
    • Familiarity with CMOD/IBM Content Manager OnDemand Server and Client.
    • Scripting experience.
    • JAVA knowledge is a plus.
