Job Title: News Anchor

A charismatic individual with exceptional communication skills to deliver news with poise, authority, and credibility in a conversational style.

  • Deliver engaging news stories while maintaining objectivity and impartiality.
  • Demonstrate energy, confidence, and professionalism on-air.
  • Collaborate with producers and desk to conceptualize, produce, and present specials and daily news packages.
  • Utilize research data to enhance the quality of stories.
  • Review show scripts, seek clarity, and improvise as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a network of news sources for exclusive local stories.
  • Perform field reporting, fill-in for other shows, and temporary assignments as required.
  • Interact with guests on-air and off-air to build strong professional relationships.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering impactful stories on digital platforms. You will write and create original material for digital output, including text stories, video, and podcasts. Strong engagement on digital platforms is essential to develop and push content.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be adaptable, able to work effectively in a variety of situations, and understand different perspectives. You must also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and colleagues.
