Oracle UIM Consultant

This is an exciting opportunity to work with multiple Oracle Communications OSS stack products and contribute to designing, implementing, and managing complex OSS inventory solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of UIM cartridges, installation, and configuration.
  • Configure extension points and rule sets for advanced customization.
  • Model both logical and physical inventory within UIM cartridges.
  • Integrate UIM with upstream and downstream systems using standard and custom web services, UIM APIs, and Service Fabric Web Services (SFWS).
  • Work with UIM Inventory Managers, including Service Manager, Configuration Manager, and Search Criteria Manager.
  • Develop and configure Calculate Technical Actions for various services.
  • Perform code build and deployment for development and testing environments.
  • Troubleshoot and configure base application packages.
  • Maintain technical and process documentation in alignment with organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Support end-to-end implementations while ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong expertise in Oracle UIM (7.2.x).
  • Experience in cartridge development, rule set development, and customization.
  • Proficiency in UNIX/Linux environments and Unix shell scripting.
  • Core technical skills in Java, PL/SQL, and WebServices (development and debugging).
  • Knowledge of network domains such as Wireless, Cable, DSL, and VoIP.
  • Exposure to Enterprise and Retail Voice/Data/GSM implementations.
  • Conceptual modeling knowledge for logical and physical inventory.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Resource and Orchestrator Device Orchestration Director (RODOD)/Resource and Service Deployment Orchestrator Director (RSDOD) and TM Forum (TMF/eTOM), SID Data Model standards.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
  • Quick learner with an aptitude for mastering new products and solutions.

Education:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, or Telecommunications.
