
Strategic Programme Leader

The Associate Director Programmes will play a critical role in advancing our programme portfolio.
The role will focus on designing, steering, and scaling impactful initiatives, with emphasis on effective planning, cross-sectoral integration, and outcome-oriented delivery.
The key responsibilities include:
- Programme Planning & Strategy:
- Support the development of long-term strategies and annual plans for programme themes.
- Identify opportunities for collaboration and innovation to strengthen impact.
- Programme Management:
- Oversee select programme areas to ensure timely, high-quality delivery in line with agreed goals.
- Provide guidance to project teams to strengthen operational efficiency and responsiveness.
- Partnership Development:
- Engage with implementing agencies, knowledge partners, and peer organisations to strengthen programme outcomes.
- Represent us in external forums as required.
- Team Support & Development:
- Provide mentoring support to mid-level team members to help them grow into leadership roles.
- Encourage a collaborative culture that values learning and accountability.
- Monitoring & Learning:
- Ensure effective systems for tracking progress, capturing lessons, and adapting strategies.
- Support preparation of reports, presentations, and knowledge products.
- Financial & Compliance Oversight:
- Contribute inputs to budget planning and monitor utilisation in assigned programme areas.
- Ensure adherence to internal processes and compliance frameworks.
A bachelor's or master's degree in social sciences, development studies, public policy, or a related discipline is required.
At least 12–15 years of relevant experience in programme design, management, or evaluation within the development sector, including experience in leadership roles.
Strong leadership and team management skills are essential.

Excellent communication and analytical abilities are necessary.
Demonstrated capacity to think strategically and translate plans into results is crucial.
Ability to work effectively in diverse cultural and social contexts is a must.
