Engineering Manager Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and mentor a team of software engineers in building, deploying, and scaling complex products and services.

The systems are based on microservices architecture, utilizing Node.js (NestJS), ReactJS, GraphQL APIs, multiple databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB), and multi-cloud deployments (AWS & GCP).

You will play a critical role in ensuring our software is secure, reliable, and scalable while enabling seamless integrations with platforms like Shopify, Easyecom, Clickpost, and a growing set of partner services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and mentor a team of backend, frontend, and full-stack engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  2. Define and maintain technical direction for microservices-based systems and event-driven architecture, ensuring best practices in API-driven development.
  3. Guide engineers in building robust integrations with third-party platforms and internal services, leveraging key AWS services for distributed and scalable systems.
  4. Oversee cloud infrastructure across AWS & GCP, ensuring efficient, high-performance queries and resilience at scale.
  5. Partner with Product and Business stakeholders to align technical strategy with business goals, driving growth and revenue.
  6. Implement processes for CI/CD, observability, incident management, and cost-optimized cloud operations, ensuring the highest level of quality and reliability.
  7. Conduct regular 1-on-1s, performance reviews, and foster a culture of psychological safety, accountability, innovation, and growth, empowering your team to excel.

Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years leading or managing engineering teams, and a proven track record of success.
  2. Strong technical foundation in Node.js (NestJS), ReactJS, and API design (GraphQL, REST), with hands-on experience building and scaling microservices architectures.
  3. Familiarity with third-party integrations and e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Easyecom, Clickpost, or similar services, and knowledge of working with MongoDB, DynamoDB, and distributed data systems.
  4. Expertise with AWS and GCP cloud environments, including container orchestration, serverless, and event-driven services, and experience implementing engineering best practices in CI/CD, observability, monitoring, and incident response.
  5. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to nurture talent, improve processes, and build a culture of excellence, driving business growth and revenue.
