Job Opportunity: Risk Analyst

The Role offers the chance to work across multiple asset classes and geographies, supporting risk oversight across the EMEA region.

As a Risk Analyst, you will play a key part in monitoring, analysing, and reporting on credit and market risk exposure for financial institutions in the EMEA region. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing daily credit and market risk reports.
  • Producing risk analysis and inputs for management committee packs.
  • Reviewing and sending out limit breach notifications.
  • Conducting credit analysis of new and existing clients.
  • Responding to ad hoc queries on limit utilisation and counterparty requests.
  • Providing margin rates and monitoring margin levels, escalating issues as needed.
  • Supporting colleagues in the absence of risk analysts or market risk leads.
  • Training graduate analysts rotating through the team.
  • Assisting with ad hoc risk initiatives and projects.

You will regularly collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Operations, Front Office, Treasury, and Trade Support to ensure robust risk oversight.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of capital markets fundamentals.
  • Knowledge and experience of equity and fixed income products.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of balance sheets and income statements is beneficial.
  • Bachelor's degree (2:1 minimum) in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.

Systems Exposure: Microsoft Office, Bloomberg, Risk Portal, CRMS
