Senior SAP Business Objects Consultant Role

This senior-level position requires a highly experienced professional with extensive knowledge of SAP Business Objects Data Services and related technologies. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in analysis, design, and development for ETL projects.

  • Strong hands-on experience as an SAP Business Objects Data Services and Informatica consultant
  • Proven expertise in documenting business requirements, functional specifications, and technical specifications
  • Able to work effectively in a team or independently with minimal supervision
  • Flexible and adaptable to new environments with a strong desire to keep pace with the latest technologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with end-users, managers, and technical personnel
Technical Requirements
  • Advanced analytics and data warehouse experience using SAP Business Objects Data Services/ Data Integrator 4.0 or above for data migration and quality assurance
  • Strong integration experience between BODS and SAP modules (SAP ECC, BW, and HANA) and non-SAP data sources
  • Thorough working knowledge of SAP BW on HANA, Native HANA, and SAP ECC Functional (FI, OTC)
  • Experience in managing large-scale SAP/non-SAP data migration roll-outs with a deep understanding of the SDLC process
  • Ability to lead a sizable team of onsite and offshore professionals and ensure deliverables are met
  • Experience working in aggressive delivery models in agile mode
  • Expertise in creating complex jobs, workflows, data flows, and scripts using various transforms (Integrator, Quality, and Platform) to load data from multiple sources into a target system
  • Strong data cleansing skills using Data Quality transforms, with hands-on coding contribution to deliverables using SAP DS, SQL, and script development
  • Proficiency in defining systems strategy, developing systems requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, and implementing solutions
  • Extensive use of Data Services Management Console to schedule and execute jobs, manage repositories, and perform metadata reporting
  • Well-versed in using Data Services Designer to extract data from multiple sources, including flat files, Excel workbooks, XML, SAP ECC, and third-party tools through DataStore setup and custom transfer programs
  • Experience in performance tuning, system optimization, and business process improvement
  • Ability to debug execution errors using Data Integrator logs and examining target data
