**Job Summary:**

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of products and services at Oil States International. As a key member of the quality team, this individual will be responsible for setting up systems and processes for quality control functions, adhering to quality standards and procedures, and providing guidance to production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and technical integrity of OSII products and services.
  • Coordinate quality objectives with OSII production processes, management team, to maximize product reliability and minimize cost.
  • Assist in executing inspection requirements, criteria, and quality processes.
  • Maintain adherence to Quality Control plans and philosophy.
  • Support Manufacturing, Testing, and Load Out to perform inspection and testing duties as required by OSII procedures, work instructions, and specifications.
  • Interact with suppliers to ensure quality requirements are met on all OSII purchased parts, material, components, and services.
  • Lead, participate, and maintain an active role on Continuous Improvement teams.
  • Ensure all qualifications for self as a Quality Control personnel are maintained and renewed prior to any exploration dates.
  • Manage and maintain Metrological instrument calibration function, including inspection, repair, and recalibration of instruments, as well as maintenance of instrument calibration records.
  • Maintain welder proficiency logs.
  • Assist in establishing PQRs, WPSs, and coordinate source inspections outside the OSII facility when required.
  • Analyze weld defects and deficiencies and make recommendations for corrective action when required.
  • Assist in interpreting quality, welding, and painting specifications.
  • Lead efforts for third-party inspection requirements, communicating with inspectors and establishing project requirements and inspection witness and hold points.
  • Promote a team atmosphere.
  • Identify Quality Control risks and develop suitable risk response plans.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical stream.
  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in Quality Control (in related Quality processes, Welding, NDE, Paint Inspection, Assembly, Test, and Production experience).
  • Experience with ISO and API rules, regulations, including planning and implementation.
  • Ability to take initiative, maintain confidentiality, meet deadlines, and work in a team environment.
  • Competencies: detailed-oriented, organizational skills, multi-tasking and prioritization skills, analytical and problem-solving ability, team working and influencing skills, awareness of QMS, ERP, knowledge and interpretation of common codes, standards, weld specifications, and customer requirements.
  • CWI certification preferred, Nace certification preferred, NDE experience preferred, specifically in Magnetic Particle and Ultrasonic processes.
  • NDT- Level 1 & 2, Annual Eye test as per SNT-TC-1A, Business Etiquettes, Building High Performance Teams, Assertiveness.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, exceptional commitment to quality, passion for quality control, understanding of quality tools, knowledge of APQP, awareness of PPAP applicable elements, experience in NDT, follow job-specific procedure, working knowledge of ERP Software.
