Procurement Executive: Strategic Material Sourcing Role

About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Executive to join our team in a strategic material sourcing role. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for procuring all types of steel materials, including HR Coils, MS, SS, special grades, and consumables from OEMs and dealers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and procurement of steel materials, including HR Coils, MS, SS, special grades, and consumables.

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with large steel manufacturers to create custom steel grades and negotiate agreements.

  • Forecasting product demand and analyzing prices, identifying trends on a weekly basis based on economic factors.

  • Managing working capital across multiple plants in India, ensuring alignment with market and site requirements.

  • Preparing analytics and reports on inventory, cost, and other metrics as required by management.

  • Utilizing SAP, Excel, Power BI, and other software tools to perform tasks efficiently.

  • Resolving quality issues and preparing comparative statements, purchase orders, and follow-up on timely deliveries.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the steel industry.

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.

  • Familiarity with SAP, Excel, Power BI, and other software tools used in procurement.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
