Wind Turbine Specialist Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Wind Turbine Specialist. As a key member of our sales team, you will play a crucial role in simulating the site-specific benefits of our upgrade portfolio and verifying the structural integrity of installed wind turbines.

You will work closely with customers, service regions, and headquarter functions to drive successful product sales and have a measurable impact on global Service business unit performance.

About This Job
  • We are looking for a highly analytical individual with a strong technical background and 5-10 years of experience in wind & site assessments, mechanical loads department, or equal technical service organisations in the wind energy industry.
  • The ideal candidate will have completed university studies in Engineering (B.E or equivalent) or Business/Economics and be fluent in English.
Responsibilities
  1. Re-assess existing/planned wind farms using internal tool chains to confirm compatibility of upgrades and structural integrity.
  2. Assess site-specific wind conditions, apply mechanical load mitigation strategies, run bucket approaches, assess lifetime extension possibilities, and write reports.
  3. Support upgrades sales by creating benefit calculations, driving validation campaigns, and initiating implementation of upgrades.
  4. Work with global service regions and after-sales colleagues to convince customers and stakeholders, enabling successful product sales.
Requirements
  • Highly analytical with a holistic approach and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Self-driven, focused, and pragmatic with demonstrated ability to bring topics to success in complex environments.
  • Optional: Know-how in wind turbine technology (site assessment, wind turbine control, load calculation, aerodynamics, etc.).
  • Optional: WindPRO and Python experience.
