Job Title: Pre-Clinical Pathology Lab Executive

About the Role:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pre-Clinical Pathology Lab Executive to join our team.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pathology and laboratory management, with excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute blood collection strategies from laboratory animals.
  2. Maintain accurate records of anesthesia/euthanasia procedures for laboratory animals.
  3. Plan and conduct necropsy examinations.
  4. Oversee tissue trimming, processing, block making, sectioning, slide staining, and histopathological examination processes.
  5. Review and provide feedback on histopathological reports for pre-clinical studies.
  6. Conduct clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation parameters, and urine analysis tests.
  7. Implement quality control checks for biochemical analysis and maintain calibration schedules for pathology equipment.
  8. Develop and implement SOPs related to pathology area.
  9. Ensure the maintenance and operation of histopathology instruments.
  10. Review in-house test results and identify areas for improvement.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain stock levels of required chemicals and materials.
  2. Provide technical comments on SOPs, protocols, reports, and study audits.
  3. Develop and execute health monitoring plans for animals and employees.
  4. Coordinate sample collection and supply for analysis/dispatch.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. veterinary medicine, biological sciences).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
