Job Title:
Database ArchitectWe are seeking a skilled Database Architect to join our team.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in designing, maintaining and administering databases. Key responsibilities include provisioning, maintaining and scaling critical data storage and intelligence platforms. This includes building, maintaining and scaling production services and server farms across multiple global data centers and public cloud providers. Additionally, contributing to product architecture to improve performance, operability, scalability, service reliability, capacity and observability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other team members to manage both SQL-based and NoSQL databases.
- Manage mission-critical high transaction rate databases including configuration, administration, monitoring, security management, performance optimization, replication, troubleshooting and backup.
- Install, configure and upgrade nodes in high availability customer production clusters.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in NoSQL database design, maintenance and administration.
- 6+ years of experience in traditional SQL-based database design, maintenance and administration.
- Experience managing Kafka message bus infrastructures strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Education:
- A BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent experience is required.
