Marketing Operations Manager Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Marketing Operations Manager to join our team at Virtusa. As a key member of our marketing department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing operations strategies to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement marketing operations strategies to optimize marketing performance and improve customer engagement.
  2. Maintain an up-to-date marketing dashboard that combines data from multiple sources into one tool and analyze marketing performance data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.
  3. Develop and manage a comprehensive vendor management strategy, including vendor selection, onboarding, and performance evaluation while ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
  4. Assist in managing the marketing budget, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
  5. Track and report on marketing expenditures, providing regular updates to senior leadership.
  6. Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize the allocation of marketing resources.
  7. Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting.
  8. Collaborate across marketing to establish common planning tools, calendars, and views that enable regular and up-to-date planning discussions across groups.
  9. Lead key people processes for the marketing function, such as shared training programs and quarterly travel requests and approvals.
  10. Lead cross-functional projects at the CMO's directive to improve marketing processes and systems, including project plans, timelines, and budgets, and track progress against objectives.
  11. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the marketing operations team.
  12. Organize and manage the scheduling of marketing leadership calls and regular marketing team meetings.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  2. 10+ years of experience in marketing operations, procurement, or a related role.
  3. Strong understanding of marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and data analytics.
  4. Proven experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.
  5. Excellent budgeting, financial management, and analytical skills.
  6. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.

Working Conditions

  1. This position may require occasional travel to meet with vendors or attend industry events.
  2. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage tight deadlines.
