Merchant Acquiring Risk Expert

We are seeking a seasoned professional to play a pivotal role in our Merchant Acquiring Risk team. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with merchant acquiring transactions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing transactions being processed at acquired merchants via all channels, including UPI, POS, and PG.
  • Monitoring merchant behavior and detecting fraudulent merchants to prevent financial losses.
  • Examining and verifying documents received from merchants in the event of escalations or fraud observed.
  • Communicating and informing stakeholders across the unit on frauds and patterns observed.
  • Developing and implementing rules for merchant monitoring based on observed patterns.
  • Staying abreast of fraud trends and methods in the industry to prevent merchant fraud.
  • Collaborating with concerned teams to gather data requirements and ensure smooth operations.
  • Preparing and submitting MIS reports to stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 3 years' experience in fraud monitoring and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of merchant acquiring, payment aggregator business, and UPI fraud.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, including filters, pivot tables, charts, lookup functions, etc.
  • Coding skills in SQL are an advantage.
  • Educational background in Engineering, Statistics, or Econometrics is preferred.
