Financial Data Entry Specialist

The Financial Data Entry Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial data, supporting revenue cycle operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Accurately post insurance payments, electronic remittance advices (ERAs), and patient payments into the dental billing system with attention to detail and numbers.
- Reconcile deposits with bank statements and daily payment reports to ensure all payments are accounted for, maintaining accuracy of patient accounts and balances.
- Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and ERAs to identify underpayments, overpayments, and denials, flagging and escalating discrepancies or trends in denials or payment issues to the relevant department.
- Post adjustments (e.g., write-offs, contractual adjustments) according to payer contracts and internal policies, meeting productivity and accuracy goals.
- Collaborate with the appeals or collections team for timely resolution of denied or unpaid claims, ensuring HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times.
- Proven experience of at least 2 years with financial data entry, preferably in a healthcare management software environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Full English proficiency and Microsoft Office skills, with proficiency in G-suite (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, etc.).
