Job Title: Financial Reporting Specialist

At our firm, we provide comprehensive accounting services to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team.

This role involves managing end-to-end revenue accounting processes to guarantee compliance with ASC 606 / IFRS 15. Key responsibilities include reviewing customer contracts, collaborating with Sales, Legal, and FP&A teams, and analyzing deferred revenue, billing schedules, and revenue forecasts to support financial reporting and audit readiness.

  • Own and manage revenue accounting processes ensuring accurate and timely recognition in compliance with ASC 606 / IFRS 15
  • Review customer contracts and agreements to determine appropriate revenue treatment including multi-element arrangements and variable considerations
  • Collaborate with Sales, Legal, and FP&A teams to assess deal structures and ensure alignment with revenue recognition policies
  • Prepare and maintain revenue schedules, journal entries, and reconciliations for month-end and quarter-end close
  • Analyze deferred revenue, billing schedules, and revenue forecasts to support financial reporting and audit readiness
  • Partner with IT and finance systems teams to enhance automation and reporting capabilities related to revenue
  • Support external audits and internal controls by providing documentation and insights into revenue processes
  • Monitor changes in accounting standards and advise on implications for revenue recognition

The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of experience in revenue accounting or revenue recognition preferably in a SaaS, technology, or services environment. A strong understanding of ASC 606 / IFRS 15 and proficiency in ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle are essential. Advanced Excel skills and experience with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau are also desirable.
