Job Summary

The Functional Specialist role involves providing daily support to technical and business teams. Key responsibilities include:

  • Generating reports and running SQL queries on the database, as well as user creation and configuration settings.
  • Developing and enhancing applications on SQL Server, with a focus on writing database stored procedures, triggers, and packages.
  • Maintaining knowledge of performance and tuning of SQL Server databases.
  • Documenting enhancements for team members, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure understanding and support of the product.
Key Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • 1-3 years of experience working on implementation and support of database programming, specifically MS SQL Server.
  • Strong skills in T/SQL, querying, triggers, and stored procedures.
  • Experience with Windows, VB scripting, and job scheduling systems like Autosys or Stonebranch.
  • At least 2-3 years of industry experience working in Market Data/Reference Data space, with exposure to data vendors like Bloomberg or Reuters.
