Accounting Professional

Job Description:

As an Accounting Professional, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial accounting activities. This role is instrumental in supporting the Plant Controller by ensuring that RTR activities are performed accurately & efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze accounting data to ensure compliance with Eaton Financial Policies, legal requirements, GAAP, and agreed SLAs with customers.
  • Create and implement procedures to improve the internal control environment and streamline efforts.
  • Build organizational capability within the function by developing finance talent through training, mentoring, and coaching.

Essential Functions:

  1. Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of financial reporting and processes (RTR, OTC & PTP) with due focus on managing Intercompany accounting in the RTR function.
  2. Ensure an accurate and timely book close: monthly, quarterly, and year-end.
  3. Timely report all monthly financial information, including IC OOB analysis and resolution.
  4. Implement and drive a Zero Gap culture in the process by proactively identifying and remediating risks.
  5. Closely work with auditors and be responsible for closure of all internal audit/SOX gaps identified.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Accounting Degree (CA) or MBA-Finance with majors in accounting/finance.
  • 7-9 years of relevant experience, mainly in people management.

Benefits:

  • End-to-end process knowledge for GL/FA and good understanding of OTC and PTP encompassing overall accounting as the area.
  • Good experience of Oracle or SAP ERP.
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
  • Exposure to SOX and similar regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, written, and oral English communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across boundaries/business lines.

Others:

  • Should have exposure to manage a team for at least 8-10 team members.
  • Be a guide and coach to the team.
  • Excellent MS Office knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.). Knowledge on Excel Macro, Power BI.
