Maintenance Manager Role

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring the overall maintenance and reliable operation of all plant utilities, mechanical and electrical systems, and equipment across the pharmaceutical facility. This role includes preventive and breakdown maintenance, project execution, equipment qualification, and compliance with GMP and safety regulations.

  • Oversee maintenance activities to ensure operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and minimal downtime of all critical systems.
  • Maintain and upkeep critical utilities, including boilers, chillers, DG sets, and water purification systems.
  • Lead the installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment and systems.

This key role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment where precision, compliance, and innovation intersect.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventive maintenance: Schedule regular maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and reduce downtime.
  • Predictive maintenance: Use data analytics and machine learning techniques to predict potential equipment failures and schedule maintenance accordingly.
  • Corrective maintenance: Address equipment failures promptly and efficiently to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.

In addition to technical expertise, the Maintenance Manager must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and vendors.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Root Cause Analysis: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve underlying issues in equipment failures and system inefficiencies.
  • CMMS Proficiency: Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems for tracking, planning, and optimizing maintenance activities.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Accuracy in maintaining technical documentation, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance records.
