As a seasoned manufacturing leader, you will serve as the Head of Operations. This role demands strategic thinking and hands-on experience in machine assembly, fabrication, and industrial engineering within capital equipment manufacturing.

The position involves leading four critical departments: Production, Purchasing, Stores & Planning, and Quality. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient shop floor operations, robust supply chain coordination, and world-class quality control.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Driving end-to-end operations across production, assembly, fabrication, paint shop, and machine shop.
  • Ensuring timely execution of manufacturing plans with focus on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Establishing and enforcing manufacturing SOPs, process sheets, routings, and control plans.

You will also lead procurement and vendor management for raw materials, consumables, and bought-outs. Your goal is to ensure robust sourcing strategies that meet cost, quality, and lead-time objectives.

Furthermore, you will develop monthly and weekly production schedules based on sales forecasts and available resources. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams for timely material availability and production readiness.

In addition, you will oversee quality assurance processes, audits, and implementation of corrective actions. Your task is to ensure all products meet company and statutory quality standards.

You will champion lean manufacturing and other continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve throughput. You will lead strategic operations planning and implementation in alignment with company goals.

Finally, you will lead, mentor, and develop department managers and team leaders. You will foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning.
