Scientific Content Specialist

About the role:

We are seeking a skilled Scientific Content Specialist to join our team. As a Scientific Content Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage with scientific experts, support the execution of scientific dissemination plans, and collaborate with global and local colleagues.

Main responsibilities:

• Scientific Engagement: Develop and implement engagement strategies to support the development and oversight of integrated strategies for scientific expert engagement, scientific congresses, scientific events, and medical education.
• Support Timely Execution: Ensure timely execution of scientific dissemination, scientific expert engagement, and medical multichannel engagement plans for global and local teams.
• Develop Engagement Plans: Support the development of engagement plans by identifying and adopting new multi-channel customer-facing engagement initiatives that enhance the customer experience for scientific and medical learning and improvement of patient care.
• Closely Track Emerging Technologies: Closely track emerging and evolving digital technologies across industries, focusing on healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, leveraging proof of concept to test ideas and channels.
• Sponsor Expert Network: Support the development and expansion of a network of experts in assigned disease areas through expert KOL mapping activities, including identification, profiling, and segmentation of international experts.

Maintain professional and collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, KOLs, scientific societies, patient associations, advocacy groups, medical communication, and strategy companies involved.

You will attend medical meetings, advisory boards, outreach meetings at key institutions, and interact with key experts, academic societies, and advocacy groups to generate scientific insights.

Process:

Participate in driving publication and medical communication processes, act as a subject matter expert in assigned therapeutic areas, assist the medical team in conducting comprehensive publication-need analysis, and drive the publication and medical communications plan and associated activities for the year identified.

Work with selected vendors to deliver required deliverables as per defined process, leverage advanced training delivery tools and techniques to enhance effectiveness of training delivery, and support in designing an overall plan of action based on end-user feedback and improving course content and delivery.

Requirements:

5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or related healthcare industry with understanding in all aspects of scientific publication and medical communications strategy planning and execution during all phases of drug development and post-launch marketed products.

Possess strong cross-functional collaboration, teamwork, and stakeholder engagement, outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, exceptional time management skills, ability to work independently and effectively in an internal and external environment, track record of managing multiple conflicting priorities in a rapidly evolving environment with successful outcomes, ability, willingness to maintain professional relationships with KOLs, scientific organizations, societies, advocacy groups, HCP authors, journals, and publishers, strategic critical thinking, and problem-solving attitude, leadership, planning, organizing, and negotiation skills, innovative mindset to help evolve current approaches to scientific engagement and communication publications.
