Senior Quality Assurance Engineer Job Description

The primary role of a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer is to ensure the overall quality and reliability of software applications.

This involves working with cross-functional teams, including development and project management, to deliver high-quality products that meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain testing documents, including test plans, test cases, and test reports, to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  2. Collaborate with project managers and development teams to identify and prioritize testing activities, ensuring that testing remains within agreed scope, schedule, and quality standards.
  3. Manage risks and deliverables to provide estimates of testing efforts required for projects or deliverables as needed.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in software QA, with a strong understanding of Agile testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with bug tracking and test management tools like JIRA/AzureDevOps, with a strong focus on collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Desirable Skills:

  • Manual testing and test planning expertise, with a strong understanding of testing methodologies.
  • Bug tracking and regression testing skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality products.
  • Mentorship and root cause analysis expertise, with a strong emphasis on knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
