Job Title: Dam Instrumentation & Monitoring Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and implement dam instrumentation projects.
  • Review and finalize instrumentation action plans for large dams.
  • Provide technical support for centralized control and command centres.
  • Oversee data collection, transmission, processing, and analysis.
  • Ensure proper operation and maintenance of established instrumentation.
  • Manage technical hardware, software, and data transmission for instrumentation plans.
  • Prepare technical bid documents and define qualifying criteria for instrumentation systems.
  • Conduct third-party inspections and manage transmittals.
  • Facilitate capacity building through customized training programs.
  • Contribute to the revision of guidelines and formulation of new guidelines related to instrumentation and monitoring.
  • Provide inputs for national websites and MIS systems.
  • Support in-house expertise development at academic institutes.
  • Develop training calendars and conduct need-based inspections of dams.
  • Accompany central DSRP panels for special dam safety issues.

Requires a degree in engineering and 10 years of experience in dam instrumentation planning, SCADA, and automation.
