The role of Staff Engineer involves improving developer experience, accelerating release cycles, and building scalable internal platforms.

  • Lead the Developer Productivity/Platform Engineering team and set the vision and execution roadmap.
  • Design and build internal tools/platforms that optimize CI/CD, testing frameworks, and infrastructure automation.
  • Drive adoption of cloud-native solutions such as Kubernetes, AWS, and ephemeral environments.
  • Partner with engineering leaders to align developer experience initiatives with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Champion best practices around continuous delivery, developer efficiency, and operational excellence.
  • Evangelize the team's work internally and externally through workshops, training, and conference presentations.
  • Mentor engineers, foster innovation, and build a culture of experimentation and learning.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering with at least 3 years in platform/dev productivity roles.
  • Strong expertise in Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, Spinnaker/Jenkins/ArgoCD, and IaC.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, dynamic test selection, code quality gates.
  • Strong coding skills in Go, Python, or Java (Go preferred for tooling/frameworks).
  • Experience designing ephemeral environments, monitoring/observability tools.
  • Proven track record of leading small teams, mentoring engineers, and driving large-scale initiatives.
  • Strong communication and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
