Job Title: Assistant Manager - Finance & Accounts

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Assistant Manager - Finance and Accounts.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading various finance and accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulations.

  • Education: A Chartered Accountant (CA) Intermediate or Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMA-Inter) qualification is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Verification and accounting of bank payment entries in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  2. Verification and accounting of cash payment entries in ERP system.
  3. Preparation of bank NEFT letters and obtaining signatures from authorized persons for payments.
  4. Preparation of payment advises and sending mail to concerned departments.
  5. Preparation of fund requirement statements as per fund requirements and obtaining signatures from authorized persons for fund requests to Headquarters.
  6. Verification and accounting of consultancy bills and recommending for payment.
  7. Sponsored research projects, consultancy projects bill verification and accounting.
  8. Updating and maintaining dashboards for university overhead income, professional development fund, etc.
  9. Monthly closing of all journal entries and other accounting entries.
  10. Preparation of monthly cash books with closing cash on hand.
  11. Preparation of daily bank and cash balance dashboards.
  12. Students' refunds reconciliation.
  13. Vehicle loan EMI payments and reconciliation.
  14. Processing of Provident Fund (PF), Employees' State Insurance (ESI), professional tax, Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) payments.
  15. Providing information for TDS returns filing.
  16. Collecting provisional and final investment declarations for income tax and supporting documents from employees and updating the same in ERP.
  17. Coordination for employee Form 16.
  18. Verification and processing of salaries.
  19. Verification and processing of Ph.D., PDF, and M.Tech stipends.
  20. Full and final settlement of salary for resigned employees.
  21. Finding new things/new processes for improving existing processes.
  22. Providing data, bills, and other information for necessary agencies as per their templates.

Personal Attributes:

  • Good knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Candidate should have strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and ERP software.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
