Vessel Integrated Systems Specialist

As a Navigation Systems Engineer, you will be the primary point of contact for vessels, Fleet Superintendents, partners, and transversal departments regarding the maintenance of navigation integrated systems. Your key responsibilities include ensuring that all technical and regulatory needs are met, working with partners to maintain operational condition, and proposing continuous performance improvement plans.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in electrical or electronics engineering, at least 3 years of experience in supporting vessels, and strong knowledge of integrated radio and navigation systems. Key skills required for this role include troubleshooting, project management, and excellent communication and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Comply with IMS and international rules and regulations
  • Ensure duties are performed in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental, and ethics policies
  • Propose and implement a continuous performance improvement plan
  • Monitor or organize surveys, health checks, and maintenance of navigation integrated systems
  • Manage repairs with vessel Superintendents/Vessel managers within time and budget
  • Support compliance with flag and class requirements related to navigation integrated systems
  • Contribute to the issuance of experience feedback and lessons learned

You will also be responsible for maintaining up-to-date databases of radio and navigation systems onboard, discussing optimal lifecycle with expert teams, evaluating and assessing partners and key vendors, and preparing annual budgets for assigned vessels.
