We offer non-dilutive capital solutions with a fixed annual fee, providing a 12-month repayment term. Our aim is to serve customers efficiently, saving them time and resources that would be spent on negotiating complex equity raises.

Job Summary:

As a detail-oriented Underwriter professional, you will be responsible for reviewing bank statements to assess financial health, identify patterns, detect irregularities, and contribute to credit and risk decision-making.

The Underwriter reviews, conditions, and underwrites loans in accordance with established policies and procedures, examining all documentation for accuracy and completeness.

  • Review and analyze loan applications to ensure eligibility, accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines.

Review all required loan data, reports, and inspections to insure collateral acceptability to investors and the company.

  • Make independent decisions regarding acceptance and risk of loans according to HUD, company, and investor guidelines.
  • Provide final approval underwriting of loans – Conventional, Correspondent, FHA, VA, Reverse.
  • Complete all required paperwork and forms in a timely and accurate manner; prepare required forms.
  • Sign off conditions in a timely manner set by management.
  • Work with team members, sales, and management to find solutions on escalated loans. May be requested to make recommendations for improving Internal Audit's policies and practices.
  • Manage loans using all functions of Encompass.
  • Effectively communicate underwriting decisions with processors and advisors.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and communication with other departments.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education / Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree with CA is must.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in Underwriting with thorough knowledge of Financial and nonfinancial supporting documentation, Income calculations, Asset/Liabilities & Appraisal verification, Credit report review.
  • Knowledge about risk and compliance in Lending especially the FNMA & FHLMC Underwriting standards.
  • Knowledge about Underwriting procedures of Conventional, Correspondent Lending, FHA, VA (Government loans) underwriting.
