Sustainable Urban Transportation Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Urban Mobility Specialist to join our team in implementing sustainable and safe transportation systems.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working on urban spatial issues, environmental challenges, and mobility solutions. They should be proficient in data analysis, research, and communication.
Responsibilities- Develop and operationalize Low Emission Zone (LEZ) frameworks tailored for cities.
- Conduct baseline assessments of vehicular and industrial emissions.
- Identify vehicle categories, emission thresholds, and compliance strategies for LEZs.
- Propose monitoring mechanisms using Vahan data, ANPR, and on-ground enforcement.
- Assess and recommend sustainable mobility solutions: EV adoption pathways, public transport electrification, NMT integration, and multimodal connectivity.
- Support roadmap preparation for EV integration across municipal transport operations.
- Propose policies for encouraging clean fuels, scrappage of end-of-life vehicles, and charging infrastructure development.
- Work with municipal corporations, pollution control boards, RTOs, traffic police, and state EV cells.
- Conduct consultations with local businesses, citizen groups, and transport operators.
- Support awareness and capacity-building activities.
- Master's degree in Environmental Science, Urban Planning, or Design and/or allied disciplines.
- Proven experience working on urban spatial issues, air pollution control, and EV policy integration.
- Understanding of urban mobility challenges and policies.
- Excellent research, data analysis, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Responsiveness to stakeholder needs and requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and data analysis tools.
- Hindi and English fluency is a must.
