Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented accounts payable specialist to manage the day-to-day activities of our company's accounts payable function. This role focuses on ensuring that all invoices, payments, and other financial transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process high volumes of transactions accurately, adhering to U.S. accounting principles and standards.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including onboarding, updates, and issue resolution.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Support month-end close activities, including accruals and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and property managers for invoice coding and approvals.
  • Prepare and process payments via checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and IRS regulations related to accounts payable.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, as well as track payment schedules.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives in accounts payable.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable, preferably with U.S.-based accounting exposure.
  • Experience in the U.S. real estate sector is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; Yardi experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. accounting principles, laws, and regulations.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities under deadlines.
