Production Supervisor Role

Job Title: Production Supervisor

Location: Salem, India

The Production Supervisor plays a crucial role in the production team, responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of production workers to ensure efficient and timely production of panels while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities include:

  • Team Supervision:
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers to achieve optimal productivity levels.
    • Monitor technicians' performance and provide coaching and guidance as necessary.
    • Schedule work assignments and ensure proper staffing levels to meet production targets.
  • Production Management:
    • Oversee the production process to ensure that production targets are met and exceeded.
    • Monitor production schedules and adjust workloads as needed to meet deadlines and maintain a smooth workflow.
    • Ensure that production is carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
    • Prepare equipment and device tags to facilitate efficient production processes.
    • Prepare wiring ferrules to ensure proper connections and minimize downtime.
    • Responsible for production machines maintenance with relevant records to ensure optimal performance.
  • Quality Control:
    • Maintain high standards of product quality by implementing effective quality control measures.
    • Coordinate with QC team for regular inspections, quality checks, and punch closing to ensure compliance with industry standards.
    • Address any quality issues and implement corrective actions as necessary in coordination with QC team to prevent recurrence.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to create a safe working environment.
    • Promote a safe working environment and enforce safety policies to minimize risks and ensure employee well-being.
    • Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to educate employees on safety protocols and best practices.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Work with management to develop and implement production strategies that drive business growth and improve competitiveness.
    • Analyze production data and prepare reports on performance to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Resource Management:
    • Manage inventory levels and coordinate with procurement team to ensure the availability of necessary materials.
    • Maintain equipment and machinery in good working condition to optimize production output.
    • Coordinate maintenance and repair activities as needed to minimize downtime and ensure continuity of production.
  • Functional Requirement:
    • More than five years in a production environment.
    • Proven track record in supervising production teams to achieve optimal productivity levels.
    • Proven experience in managing production schedules and meeting production targets to drive business growth.
    • Experienced in coordinating maintenance and repair activities to minimize downtime and ensure continuity of production.
